General Information

LV Arts at the Park is LV Arts’ Second Annual Art Festival featuring twenty (20) 10x10’ artist booths, a regional art competition, a performing arts stage, and a wide range of art-making opportunities and activities for all ages.

Eligibility

Artwork must be original fine art or fine craft created by the exhibiting artist. Reproductions are allowed but must be clearly marked with a signature and number. Entries made from commercial kits or molds are not accepted.

Jury

Artwork will be evaluated based on its originality, craftsmanship, use of materials, and aesthetic qualities. Artists are required to submit four (4) digital images displaying their art medium(s) being exhibited. One (1) additional image showcasing the artist’s current booth setup is strongly encouraged.

LV Arts has the right to utilize the artist’s images for promotional purposes.

The LV Arts at the Park jury is composed of up to ten (10) participants with varying backgrounds. The jury process is closed. Applicants will be notified of their application status by July 1, 2024.
 

Electricity

Artist booths will not have access to electricity.

Booth Information

Jury fee: $30.00. The $30 jury fee is due at the time of the application being submitted.

Booth fees: our booth fees are low in price following our mission to support working artists.

LV Arts members: $50

Non-members: $100

Double booth: $100 for members, $200 for non-members

*LV Arts memberships range from $15-$35. Please become a member and save on your booth fee.

All booth spaces are 10x10’. A clearance space of at least 2-3’ between booths allows for display along at least one exterior side of the tent.

Jury and booth fees are nonrefundable.

LV Arts does not take a commission  on sales at this time. Please consider a small donation to the LV Arts organization at artist checkout. This allows us to continue events like these in the future.

Rules and Regulations

1. Booth spaces are assigned by LV Arts on a first come, first serve basis. LV Arts may reserve the first booth space for an invited artist.

2. Artists furnish 10x10’ tent and all display materials. Tent weights are required (at least 40lbs per tent leg).

3. Artists are required to be present during the entire event and must personally manage their booth space. Assistance is permitted; agents and representatives may not attend in place of the artist.

4. Artists may display artwork from categories and bodies of work approved by the jury.

5. Artists are required to comply with all staff and security regulations, and vehicles must only be parked in designated areas.

6. The event is family-oriented, and artwork intended for mature audiences will not be accepted.

7. Jury and booth fees are non-refundable.

8. Sales tax packets will be provided to artists at the event, and further inquiries should be directed to the Kansas Department of Revenue. (www.ksrevenue.org/specialsalesevents.html or kdor_special.events@ks.gov

9. LV Arts assumes no responsibility for loss, damage, or theft.

10. All artists must check out and report their earnings for statistical purposes.

Entrant Agreement

By submitting an application, the entrant (must be 18 years or older):

Certifies that the entry submitted is original

Takes any and all legal responsibility for breaches of copyright caused by plagiarism

Grants LV Arts permission to reproduce the submitted work, in part or whole, for any purpose, including research, on the internet, in print publications and/or in any other medium without compensation and to publish the entrant’s name and home city/state in conjunction with the work.

The entrant indemnifies LV Arts in respect of all matters related to the entry.

LV Arts reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who violates any of the booth exhibit rules.
